Read a Review of Pleasant Valley Campground
"I stayed at Pleasant Valley Campground the complete summer of 2008. The campground is quiet, clean and easily accessible. I have a 5th wheel camper. The campground has a large area for turning around that made it very easy to park. The sites are all graveled, level and easy to situate your camper into. The campground owner/host, Shawn, was extremely helpful and readily available for any needs I might have had. He went well beyond what you would expect from a campground host. The campground has many amenities including reliable Wi-Fi and cable TV. Each site has full hook-up (not all campgrounds in the area offer this). The campground is conveniently located within minimal driving distance to several restaurants and shopping areas. I travel a lot with my job, thus have the opportunity to stay in many campgrounds. Pleasant Valley Campground was truly one of the best experiences that I have had! Thanks for a great summer!"

"We stayed at Pleasant Valley Campground in West Virginia just after it was completed last year (Aug. 2007). It is located on the outer edge of the small village of White Sulphur Springs, WV which is home to the luxurious Greenbrier Hotel. The campground has 8 RV sites on a nice level lot. Six of the sites are side by side back-ins, and 2 others are pull-thrus. The back-ins are angled toward the main road and there is a large area to get turned in, so it was easy to park. They have full hookups, cable TV, and WiFi. The rates were $28/night and $160/week. There was a Food Lion, a Hardees, a True Value hardware, and other stores and restaurants in a small shopping center less than a mile toward town. We attended the West Va State Fair and had a really great time. They have cheap concerts by big names. We saw Tracey Lawrence open for Randy Owen of the band called Alabama for only $20/seat. The Beach Boys played the last concert that week. I am planning to go back to the state fair again this year and I will definitely stay at this same campground. I am bringing my 4-wheeler along this year because they have some of the best ATV trails I've seen. The owner let us ride the trails on his own ATV. They only let guests of the campground ride these trails, so the land is largely undisturbed and very peaceful. They have about 200+ acres for trail riding and primitive camping. We saw some really great views when we got up to the top of the mountain. Back at the campground, there is a nice picnic area with fire rings and tables. There is a really interesting house next door that is made of coal. It is called "The Coal House", of course. If you want to attend the West Va State Fair this year, I highly recommend this campground. I thought it had a good balance of convenience and privacy, and plenty of outdoor activities that made our stay at Pleasant Valley Campground during "Fair Week" a real treat."
